BLENHEIM.
April 21.
The Maryborough agricultural show was held yesterday, and it was the most successful one for years. The exhibits were excellent and numerous. At the dinner in the evening the Lyttelton Times correspondent, who respondedto the toast of the visitors, described the recent visit paid by him to the Picton coalfields, describing their extent so far as discovered, and predicting a grand result from their discovery. He said, since visiting the fields, he had met Mr Blair, engineer in charge or the Middle Island, and directed his attention to the sample brought to Blenheim, and that Mr Blair expressed the highest opinion of it. Lionel Brown, an old joursaHet, died this morning.
