GISBORNE.
February 7.
The Native Lands Court has refused to vest tbe Pouawa block of 20,000 acres, and owned by about sixty natives, in Mr W. L. Rees and Co. as trustees. Mr G. M. Reid and tbe Belfast settlers are greatly disappointed at being unable to get the land with a perfect title, as they were, given to understand they could. Mr Rees goes to Wellington to endeavor to carry his point there it possible.
