Allied Air Operations (Received July .1, .1.40 n.m.) LONDON, June 30.

Todays communique from Italy says that medium bombers yesterday attacked a number of coastal railway bridges between Spezia and the south of France, and also an ammunition dump near Spezia. Medium and light bombers attacked railway yards at Ravenna and Cesena. Fighter-bombers struck against railways, rolling stock, motor transport, bridges, grounded aircraft and barrack areas in north Italy. Other fighter-bombers attacked an aerodrome, parked aircraft, and motor transport in Yugoslavia. Three enemy planes were destroyed iti these operations for the loss of three. Five of our planes are missing from operations last night when Allied bombers attacked (in aerodrome at Feurersbrunn. Approximately 1400 sorties were flown.

Berlin radio announced that stronglyescorted American bombers this morning were met by heavy anti-aircraft tire over the outskirts of Vienna. German and Hungarian fighters intervened and fierce battles wont on over the Danube and the German-Hungarian frontier.
