DOMINION PRODUCE

Discussions With Britain “The present negotiations with the United Kingdom Government concerning the prices paid for New Zealand products were referred to by ‘The Dominion’ in a leading article today,” said the ActingPrime Minister, Mr. Sullivan, last evening. “These negotiations were begun by the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, and were left for final action by the Prime Minister on his arrival in England. In them Mr. Fraser is being assisted by the Secretary to the Treasury, Mr. B. C. Ashwin, and by the director of the Export Marketing Division, Mr. G. A. Duncan. Details of important negotiations of this kind obviously cannot be disclosed while the discussions are in progress. As soon as a final agreement has been reached a statement will be made. "Some newspapers also anticipate delays in the presentation of the Budget. The fact is that preparation of the Budget is well advanced. It is quite erroneous to assume that there will be any unreasonable delay in its presentation.”
