They came home impressively. Ivar ran a mile in even time, pulling hard throughout. Boulder Dam was not very impressive when taking 1.55. Regal Night, after running 53 for the first half, completed a mile in 1.51, when he was half a furlong ahead of Fiddler’s Green, who in her last two gallops has gone very badly. Kinneff, who apparently has recovered from his recent lameness, was never off the bit when recording 1.43 for once round. There was not a great deal of schooling this morning Siglow, going better than on his last visit to Hastings, finished clear of Black Saint over a round of six hurdles. Black Saint did not jump well. Lindrum over three, and Pompit over live hurdles, made no errors. They later ran five furlongs in 70, with Pompit outclassing his mate. Oxyopia pleased in his school over a round of the country with Tigreterre. Both jumped soundly. Malacca, though jumping better than Captaiu Star over the four brushes on the course proper, did not give a finished display of steeplechasing.
