WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Another line Saturday made it possible for the Wellington Basketball Association to complete the first round in the fourth junior grade. In section 1, Wellwool has won all six games, and St. Mary's has lost only one game. In section 2 Zemba has won four and drawn one; Seatoun has won three and drawn two;, and the oilier four teams are all equal. It is an interesting. aud rather unusual result. There were no surprise results iu the matches on Saturday, though it was thought Island Bay might beat. T. College in senior A. St. Anne’s still goes on victoriously in this grade, and W.C.O.G. is doing the shine in the senior B, with Y.W.C.A. coming second.

At the last meeting of Hie executive it. was decided to enter a team in the New Zealand tournament to be held lu Christchurch In August. Mrs. G. Calder was, appointed coach and manager.
