DANGER FROM RAIDS

Soviet Warning To Poles LONDON, May 16. The target for Russian bombers last night was the railway junction of Polotsk. behind the Baltic front, south-west of Nevel. The aircraft attacked stores of war material and military trains, and there was one big explosion. All the Russian aircraft returned. Moscow radio has broadcast a warning to the people of Poland to keep clear of German railways and factories and so avoid civilian casualties from Allied bombing. The broadcast emphasized that enemy targets in Poland are now open to attack from the east and the west.

To night's Soviet communique reports no change yet on the Russian land front. Nineteen enemy planes were shot down last night.
