ALBANIANS TAKE OFFENSIVE
Famous Town Recaptured
LONDON, May 16. The main news from Marshal Tito’s forces today deals with the Albanian front, where Albanian partisans are carrying out offensive operations on a comparatively big scale. In the last few days they have liberated three widely separated towns. One is Koritza (population 26,000), near the meeting place of the Yugoslav, Greek and Albanian frontiers. This town was the centre of a three weeks’ struggle during the winter of 1940, when the Greeks were driving the Italians back into Albania.
