Story Of Coming Attack On Britain Revived (Received October 13, 9.3 Q p.m.) LONDON, October 13. Austrian agents reaching Istanbul as refugees are spreading a story of the coming shelling of Britain by rocketpropelled shells from guns on the French coast as a reprisal for raids on Germany, says the Istanbul correspondent of the “Daily Express.” The Austrians say that' the shells contain a very destructive explosive. They also say that pilotless radio-con-trolled stratosphere planes have been built to discharge rocket shells. Germany’s best technical and chemical experts have been withdrawn from all other work to complete these new weapons by the end of October. . , , A neutral military attache said he believed the scare story was aimed, at keeping Britain and America on the defensive till the eastern front was stabilized. German propaganda had threatened the bombardment of London from the 1' reach coast last April. Neutral correspondents recently repeated stories of a rocketgun.
