GEORGE FORMBY IN CAIRO
N.Z.E.F. Official News Service. CAIRO, October 5. A large audience rivalling the record attendance for the Benny show, was entertained at the El Djcm Bowl by the English comedian, George Formby and his wife Beryl, and the E.N.S.A. Concert Party. The Stadium was packed to its elastic capacity, the audience being well entertained with the Lancashire man's favourites. Formby told how he mot his brother-in-law. Flying Officer Gibson, D.F.C., Auckland, for the first time in the Isle of .Man. He declared his intention to visit New Zealand when opportunity permits.
