WEDDING
Bigley—Childs At St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Masterton, the marriage took. place on August 31 of Patricia Bonnie, third daughter of Mrs. C. M. Childs, Mauriceville, and Corporal Lloyd Lawrence, U.S.M.C., eldest son of Mrs. and the hue Mr. Ernest Bigley, Arkansas, U.S.A. Ine Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich officiated and Miss Henderson was at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Private John Childs, looked charming in a trained gown of heavy white slipper satin. White hyacinths held the long tulle veil and she carried a sheaf of spring blossoms. Miss Judith Childs, who attended the bride, wore a frock or ivory ripple georgette. Her head oand was composed of freesias and prunus and she carried an arm sheaf of spring blossoms. Sergeant H, Smith, U.S.M.C., was best man. . . , After the ceremony an informal reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother, at Mauriceville. When Cpl. and Mrs.-L. L. Bigley left for a tour of the South Island the bride wore a smart light blue ensemble with navy accessories. '
