In the Waitemata electorate Mr. H. T. Morton (National) retains a majority of 169 over Mrs. Dieaver (Labour). - . The official count of civilian votes is not yet complete in 28 electorates: Bay of Plenty, Central Otago, Clutha, Dunedin Central, Dunedin North, Franklin, Grey Lynn, Hamilton, Hutt, Lyttelton, Manawatu, Motueka, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Raglan, Rotorua, Tauranga, Teinuka, Thames, Waikato, Waimarino, Waitaki, Waitomo, Wallee, Wellington Central, Wellington North, Wellington Suburbs, Westland.
