French Naval Ships And Men LONDON, October 5. About 300,000 tons of naval shipping; — half of France’s pre-war fleet—and 53,♦lOO French naval officers and ratings are now fighting with the Allies, Reuter’s Algiers correspondent reports. Admiral Andre le Monnier, chief of staff of the French Navy, revealed this at a Press , conference.
