Brannighan—Dickey
A recent wedding of interest in Wellington was that of Millicent Kathleen, youngest daughter of Sergeant and Mrs. V. H. Dickey, Kelburn, and (Lieutenant Thomas (Brannighan, U.S.M.C., eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. T. H. Brannighan, Louisiana, "U.'S.A., which took place at St. Mary’s Church., The officiating priest was Father Kelly, U.S.MD. . . , The bride, who was given away toy her father, wore a beautiful gown of pale .pink self-striped llama with high neckline and long train. Her tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of pink and gold tulips and stocks. Flowers of the same tonings were in her hair. Major F. (R. Smith, U.S.M.C., acted as best man. During the signing of the register Miss Myra .Sawyer sang “Ave Maria. Officers of the bridegroom’s company attended the wedding, and the reception was held at the home of the bride, Mrs. Dickey receiving her guests wearing black georgette and a spray of cyclamen. Lieutenant and' Mrs. Brannighan left for a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a moss-green suit with lemon accessories and a large fur bag and coat.
