WEDDINGS
de Malmanche —Littler
An evening wedding was celebrated in All Saint’s church, Palmerston North, recently, when Phyllis Muriel, only daughter of Mrs.-and the late Mr. F. R. Littler, Feilding, was married to Private Eric Rhodes, youngest son of Mrs. G. L. de Malmanche, Wellington. The bride wore a charming gown of white satin, and a spray of orange blossom secured the soft tulle veil. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. She was ■given away by her uncle, Mr. E. Littler, Dunedin. - The bridesmaids, Misses Ruth and Rose de Malmanche, the bridegroom’s sisters, and Miss Betty Caseley, cousin of the bride, wore pastel shaded pink and blue silk evening frocks. In their hair were sprays of freesias and maidenhair fern and they carried bouquets of hyacinths and cyclamen. Private IBrynley MacAurthy was best man, while Mr. Hugh Littler and Mr. Lawrence de Malmanche were groomsmen. “Just for Today” was sung by Mrs. Crawford while the register was being signed. The bride’s mother received her guests at the P. D. O. tearooms, wearing a black frock and a shoulder spray of bronze freesias. Mrs. de Malmanche, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a frock of royal blue and white, with a shoulder spray of bronze freesias. Mr. and Mrs. de Malmanche spent their honeymoon in Auckland and Rotorua.
