Mr. and Mrs. F. E. O'Connor, Christchurch, arc on a visit to Hawke s Bay.
■Mr. and Mrs. C. 16. Hampton, Gisborne, are spending a holiday in Napier. Misses F. and C. Moss, Gisborne, have left on visits to Auckland and Wellington. Officials who will attend a meeting ofthe W.D.F.U. Dominion advisory board in Wellington tomorrow and Friday will be Mrs. W. Orr, Balfour. Southland, Dominion president, and Mesdames W. Elliorl, Otago, B. E. Evans, Timaru, Noel Adams, Clevedon, Auckland. B. K. Black, Gisborne, Howard McLeavey, Ohau. The party, with Mrs. A. B. Smith, Wellington, Dominion secretary, will visit Palmerston North on Saturday for a meeting connected with the division’s rest home there.
LEAGUE LUNCHEON Popular With Members
The reception room of Victoria League in Wellington was filled to capacity for the monthly luncheon yesterday,, many younger members attending. This midday gathering is one of the league’s most popular events. Mrs. J. A. Doctor, president, welcomed the guests, who included two league members from other centres, Mrs. Williams, Auckland, and Miss Jean Donald, Featherston. The catering committee prepared and served a. home-cooked buffet meal and the beautiful flowers, bowls of kowbai and mauve and cream irises, that were used as table decorations, were provided and arranged by Mrs. R. B. Gibbons. Mrs. J. T. Nichols was luncheon hostess.
