Programme Of Short Plays An attractive programme of dramatic' works was presented last night at the Wellington Repertory Theatres fourth social of the year, held as usual in the studios. Part of the first act ot, Glare Boothe’s controversial play ’‘The A omen opened the evening. The scene was in P hairdressing booth, the players Mrs. T. J. Martin,’ Constance Scott, Gil Hole, Patricia Hook. Vnlniai Cook and Sybil Reynolds. The producer was Jsgaire Horton. „ , ... In “Two Gentlemen irom Soho,' by A P Herbert, the following took part : Patricia Hilton, Judith Luke, Irene Spidy, Alex Peacock, James Cormick, 1. J. Martin, Peter Harcourt and Peter Graham. Kate Stocker was producer. A sketch by Douglas Fnrber entitled “Take No Notice” was presented by Lesley Jackson and Bob Pollard, who also produced it. A cold, rainy day in ICSo, just before the Battle of Sedgemoor, was the setting for Margaret Napier’s play “Wayside War,”'which Jean McKay produced. Tlie players w'ero Mollv Hofimeister. Joan Isbistcr.' IL Berney, Peter Whitchurch, Brian Brimer. Supper was served at the conclusion of the programme. The plays will be presented again tonight and tomorrow night.
