WOMEN’S LAND SERVICE
Recruiting Campaign This Month A recruiting campaign for girls to join the Women's Land Service will, be conducted throughout the Dominion early this mouth, as a larger number ot girls are needed to fulfil all the requirements. The same concessions as those enjoyed by members of the women s armed services are granted the girls and the provision of uniforms has been granted number one priority. The W.W.S.A. branches are acting as welfare officers throughout New , Zealand for the land service and gms are encouraged to visit the auxiliary s rooms when in town to discuss' matters oi mtLWhen Miss M. Malempre, Wellington. Dominion secretary of the M omen s Land Service, visited Hamilton, this week tor the first luncheon of the Land Service, she said that the land girls were a ";!7 fine type, not afraid of work and Wll1 ’ ing to learn. Several Women s Land Service clubs arc operating in the Dominion, and arc providing for a very real part of the land girls lite.
