Carroll—Somerfield

The marriage took place at bt. Maik » Church, AVellington, recently of Esnie Joan, voungest daughter of Mrs. B. Al. Somcrficld (formerly of Audi ami), and the late Mr. Norman Somerheld, and A ictor Louis, younger son of Mr. and Mr. • 1’ S. Carroll, Victoria Road, Jsew 1 l.v mouth and grandson of the late -A r. and Mrs. A. Anderson, Eketaliuna. Can on N. F. E. Robertshawe officiated. The bride who was given away by her brolher, Mr, D. Somerfield, Gisborne, wore a charming picture frock with closely fitting, short-sleeved bodice of white m. 1 -' 0 . and bouffant net skirt. Her vei of white tulle was gathered to her head with a cluster of real orange blossom and she carried a boquet of fragantissima and 'she was attended by Miss Marie Cairoll, sister of the bridegroom, who was in a frock of dusky pink matt crepe, cut on flowing lines. She wore flowers in her hair, and carried a matching bouquet of pink ruses and wutsonia. Private AVvnne Hooper was best man. Guests were afterwards received at the reception by the bride’s mother, who wore a white and black ensemble with a corsage of rod roses and by lhe bridegroom’s mother, wearing a dove grey taillcirr with smoke-blue fox furs, a burgundy hat and accessories. Cherry coloured roses made her corsage. The bride and bridegroom, who are well known in Otago University circles, where the bride graduated as a bachelor of home science will make their future home on the bridegroom’s sheep station a«Mangawcka. The bride travelled in an. ensemble of blue grey wool boucle with mulberry accessories.
