A large entry of store lambs from North Canterbury, South Canterbury, Marlborough and North Utago, met with a good sate at Addington today. Best lambs sold up to last week's rates and medium a . inferior advanced by V* a head. Y a,S f week’s drop of 20/- a head in steer beet was recovered and there was also a rise in prices of cow and heifer beef. Fat wethers showed little change, but overtat and unfinished ewes were not in demand. One line brought up to 20/1(1. T’he best price for two-tooths was 21/1. others 21/- to ’—/J, older slieep. .15/- to 10/5. Fat Cattle.—Rising from 4<o lasi, to 503. the fat cattle entry included several pens of extra good quality steers for w.Jilcii there was a good demand by the trade.
