ZONING SCHEME

Restriction On Grocery Deliveries The introduction of a general zoning scheme whereby no grocer would be able to deliver in built-up areas more than once a week was announced yesterday by tlie Minister of Transputt, Mr. Semple. He said the smallest parcel which might be delivered was one weighing 81b., or over three cubic feet in size. Special arrangements were being made to prevent overlapping in rural districts. Separate schemes, which would be strictly enforced, were being drawn up for urban areas, “f would like to express my appreciation of tlie helpful attitude of the New Zealand Master Grocers’ Association, and I feel sure that, the public will co-operate in this vital war effort,” said the Minister. “We must save rubber, and this will materially help to do so.”
