605 Advance Subscribers Striking evidence of national spirit and satisfaction in tlie terms mid conditions of tlie second Liberty Loan is shown by those who subscribed in advance. Before the loan opened 605 lodgments had been received, eaeli bearing interest from date of deposit. Not a single subscriber lias since exercised his right to withdraw. “I want to say how much I appreciate tlie spirit in which they became advance subscribers,” said Mr. W. L. Ward, acting-governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, in an interview yesterday. “They gave the loan a good start with £2,679.000 and the public, I am sure, will see that the £10.000,000 objective is reached.” Additional investments made m Wellington in the Liberty Loan are: —Thus. Tlie N.Z. Guarantee Corporation yesterday decided to invest £lOOO in the loan.
