REFUND OF SPECIALISTS’ FEES
The question whether part refunds of specialists’ fees applied to persons cm the lists of doctors operating the capitation scheme and who may have occasion to visit specialists was asked of the Minister of Health, Mr. Nordmeyer, by Mr. Denham (Government, Invercargill). . Mr. Nordmeyer replied that the answer was “Yes.” All persons, including those on doctors’ capitation lists, or on the lists of friendly societies obtaining refunds of medical contributions, or those residing in special areas set up under the medical benefits scheme, would be able to obtain refunds for specialists’ services in the same manner as those who did not come under those categories. In other words, all jieople normally resident in Now Zealand might now claim a refund in respect of specialist services.
A statement that consideration would be "iven to the question of appointing official visitors to detention camps for military defaulters was made by the Minister of Justice when replying to au inquiry by Mr. Carr (Government, Tirnaru).
