Annual Branch Meeting At Kelburn
A report of the year’s work and a statement showing a very satisfactory financial position were presented at the annual meeting of the Kelburn branch of the League of Mothers. The president, Mrs. Charles McPhee, thanked the officers and members for their loyalty and support. „ , / ~ Miss Catherine 1-orde gave au address on “The Pioneer Women of New Zealand.” These women, said Miss Forde, were national assets of priceless worth. Each was a home-maker, ruling her little kingdom with love and firmness. Nothing could dim the courage that brought her, nor the love that kept her. The choir, under the baton of Miss Pledger, with Mrs. Chapman at the piano; sang two numbers. Mrs. 1' rank "Mac Lean expressed the gratitude of members to Miss Forde for her address and thanked the choir. Officers were elected us follows .— President, Mrs. Chas.
