ASKED TO RETURN
British Subjects In America (Received August 2, 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 1. The British Government has called on all British subjects iu the United States to return home and participate in the British war effort. Men and women aged between IS. and 45 are requested to make contact with the British Consulates in order to determine whether they have qualifications justifying transportation to England. Britain wants men for the armed forces, an'd special civilian workers such as engineers, millwrights, shipwrights, tinsmiths, radio technicians, also clerks, cooks and motor-drivers.
