SABOTAGE TRIAL ENDS
Death Penalty Expected (Received August 2, 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 1. The trial of the eight Nazi saboteurs ended- after IS days. The military commission has begun consideration of the recommendations they will make to ITesident Roosevelt, who will then, decide the Germans’ fate Complete silence will be preserved on the decision till the White House has issued a statement. •Should they suffer execution, it is very likely the news will not be relearned till after the event. It is commonly believed here that death will be pdescribed for all, possibly excepting George Daseh, who aided the Government in the trial. He is likely to receive a_ severe* prison, sentence.
