Motion By Railwaymen

Ac a combined, meeting of the national executives of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and the New Zealand Railway Tradesmen’s Association in Wellington yesterday, the following motion was carried:— “That we,are convinced, after investigation, that the resolution condemning the Minister of Labour and Federation of Labour, which was carried at a mass meeting of railways, employees at. the Hutt Workshops on Wednesday last, with reference to the tobacco workers dispute, was not. justified. The proper action that should have been taken by the Wellington Tobacco Workers’ Union was to have handed the dispute to the Federation of Labour in the constitutional mart ner.''
