Work In Coastal Towns

Airs. Charles Gray, president of the Coastal Towns branch of the I’limket Society, presided at the monthly meeting of the branch, held tit Paekakariki recently, when delegates were present from Hie following sub-brauchcs: Otaki. Paraparanmu, Pnkerua Bay, Paremata. Plimmerton. Porirua. and Titahi Bay. Nurse Brown's report for October showe'd: Total visits to homes. 115: io rooms, 47-1: new babies, 10; car mileage, 924 miles. The sub-branch reports showed Hie usual activities, and mem hers present expressed their great satisfaction that the new car purchased six .mouths ago was now fully paid for. A donation of £lO from the Paremata suh-braitclt was very gratefully accepted. 'i’he annual dance was held at Paekakariki on November 9, aud proved :i very pleasant gathering, ami helped materially toward the general funds of the branch. The Air Force Band was a great attraction, and tlie hall well filled.

Airs. Gray welcomed Air. and Mrs. .Towett, from Wellington, and visitors from all parts of the district. The competition was won by Mrs. J. Hammond, and Aiiss Anne Perkins. Thanks were given to all who helped make the event such a success, specially the .members of the Pnkerua Bay and Paekakariki committees, who worked so splendidly.
