Conference
'l'he annual ctmference of the Presbyterian Women’s AHssiona ry Union opened in St. Andrew’s Church, Palmerston Xortii, yesterday. It was attended by delegates from all parts of the Dominion, aud several missionaries who are on furlough.
In preparing for the conference, an afternoon of prayer was held on Tuesdw. The leader was Airs. Inglis, president of lhe Wellington F.W.ALU. Prayers were offered for all foreign missions, tis well as for .Maori and homo missions, for -the Empire, and for a righteous peace. The speakers were Mrs. Inglis and Aiiss McGregor.
AVomen Cricketers’ Annual Dame. 'The Al Idland' AA omen's Cricket Club held its annual dunce recently. There wore 100 guests, including members of the Army mid Air Force. Aiiss A. Alorganti was hostess, assisted by members of the club. Dancing was thoroughly enjoyed mid'Hie Alonte Carlo prizes were presented, by Air. R. A. AVright. patron of the club.
