FIRST AUCKLAND WOOL APPRAISAL
£109,592 For Growers (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November .12. Payment for wool valued at the season's initial appraisal in Auckland, on October 24, was made today. Cheques distributed to growers aggregated £109,592. According to official figures issued by the Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association the net weight of the wool was 2,153,9971 b., and the average price £l7/4/4 a bale or 12.21 d. a pound. The quality of woo] was very good, as is shown by the fact that the average price a pound was 12.21(1., against 11.97(1. in November last season and II.GGd. in December. Wool has come in very well for the next; Aucklan appraisal, which will start, on Thursday. If is expected that 12.000 bales will be available.
