Six Months’ Jail Imposed A sentence of six months' imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on Harold James Kelly, taxi-driver, aged 22. when lie appeared before Mr. Stout, S.M., in the 3lagistrates' Court, Wellington, yesterday, charged with unlawfully converting a motor-ear valued at £4OO, the property of R. B. Mexted. On a charge of a breach of a probation order he was convicted and discharged.

Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan, who prosecuted, said Kelly took the car from Waring Taylor Street and drove about (he city in it. with a girl. He was arrested the following night by Detective J. 11. Aity. Kelly had done £lO damage to the ear. He had been before the Court before and was on probation.
