ESPIONAGE CHARGES
Five Germans In Turkey ANKARA, May 3. The authorities arrested a distinguished archaeologist, Professor von Osten, and four other Germans on suspicion of espionage. The German Ambassador, Dr. von I’apen, is reported to have gone to Berlin. (Received ’May 5, 11 p.m.) ISTANBUL, May 4. Professor von Osten has been released. Police explained that they could not prove the charges against him.
