Change In Air Command (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 3. The Air Ministry announces the appointment of Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur M. Longmore to succeed Air Chief Marshal Sir William G. S. Mitchell as Air Officer Commandiug-in-Chief the R.A.F. in the Middle East as from Ma,v 20. Sir Arthur Longmore, who was born in New South Wales in 1885, visited Australia and New Zealand in 1939 as a member of the British Air Mission.
