STILL UNCHALLENGED

Subjected to bitter and continuous attacks the Bible still maintained its foremost .place as the ““book of books,” said Adjutant G. Thompson, in an address at the Salvation Army Citadel, Wellington, on "The Forgotten Book.” More books had been written about the Bible than any other book on earth. Voltaire, who died in 1778, said that in 100 years from his day. the Bible would be obsolete and that it would be impossible to find a copy except in some antique book store. The very room in which he wrote these words, from the floor to the ceiling, was packed with Bibles belonging to a Bible Society. Of a truth it was said: “No weapon that is formed against Thee shall prosper.”
