Fitzgerald—McCool

The marriage was celebrated at Saint Joseph’s Church, Hawera, recently of Dr; Thomas Michael Fitzgerald, elder son of Mr. and the late Mrs. J. Fitzgerald, Hawera, and Mary, fourth daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander McCool, Raukawa, Ashhurst. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Monsignor Cullen, who' celebrated nuptial muss, assisted by tiie Rev. Fathers Heavey and Wall. The church was 'beautifully decorated by the sisters of Saint Joseph’s Convent.

Escorted by her brother, Mr. A. P. McCool, Woodville, the bride wore a gown of magnolia satin cut on classical lines. The skirt, which was appliqued in lace, fell to form a slight train. The veil was embroidered in magnolia satin and was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. The bride carried a sheaf of cream roses, dahlias and fern. There were two bridesmaids in attendance, Miss Julie Golden (Hukanui), niece of the bride, and Miss Mary Fitzgerald, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in graceful frocks, of apricot french lace faconne. They wore picture hats of the same shade and carried shower bouquets of apricot roses, dahlias and fern. Mr. C. Fitzgerald, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and Mr. Max Cann was groomsman. The ushers were Messrs. J. Corby and J. McCarty. A reception was held at the Carlton dining-rooms, where iMrs. J. Corby, sister of the bride, received the guests wearing a french blue model frock and fur coat. Mrs. Corby was assisted by Miss M. Dwyer, who wore a henna suit, brown fur stole and brown accessories.

The bride travelled In an air fores blue tailored suit and hat to match, with brown accessories, and she carried a musquash fur coat.
