Annual Meeting Of Greytown Branch
There was an excellent attendance of members and visitors at the fifteenth annual meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers' Union. Mrs. R. Beu presided. Mesdames Ward, Summers, Galyer, Dickens and Stephens, all new members, were welcomed. Pleasure was expressed at the return of Mrs. Woods, sen., and Mrs. E. Richards. Mrs. Beu, who was presented with a handsome shoulder-spray, read the report, which gave a comprehensive survey of . the year’s activities. The bal-ance-sheet was presented by Miss Eagar. In moving the adoption of the report, Mrs. W. Knell congratulated the president, treasurer and secretary on their work. It was gratifying that the branch now had a financial membership of 114, she said. Greetings were received from Mrs. E. Graham, Levin, Mrs. Stunned, senior, and Mrs. McMinn. Used stamps were received from Mesdames Gregor, E. Gi-aham. Misses Eagar and Kidd. Mrs. Beu stilted that Mr. W. Wiggins had consented to show moving pictures of the recent Centennial celebrations taken by him, to raise funds for the W.D.F.U. Before afternoon tea, which was served by Mesdames Bell, Fairbrother, Bull and Kearney, Mrs. Beu gave an interesting talk on matters pertaining to the 'W.D.F.U., and the Greytown branch in particular. Thanks were accorded the hostesses and Mrs. F. Bunny and Miss Eagar, who prepared the hall. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. R. W. Beu (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Mesdames Buutiv, Denny, Orr and Hutchings; secretary, Mrs. W. G. K. Wiggins (reelected) ; treasurer, Miss Eagar (reelected) ; advisory members, Mrs. Beu and Mrs. Wiggins; committee, Mesdames Bayliss, Eagar, Kiernan, Sveuson, Carter, D. Ingley, Dyson and Miss Kidd; sick visitor, Mrs. Beuseman; delegates Dominion conference, Mrs. Beu and Miss Eagar; delegates Provincial Council, the president, secretary and treasurer; exchange table. Mrs. Orr; pianist, Mrs. Carter; bon. auditor, Mr. J. Kiernan.
