JOHNSONVILLE LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
The Johnsonville branch of the Ixiague of Mothers met recently, when Mrs. Hogg presided over a large attendance of members and friends. Four new members were enrolled. The Key. Mr. Samuda’s address on the sanctity of marriage was much appreciated and a vote of thanks was accorded him. The thought for the month was given by Mrs. Ingoldsby: "Wherever a true woman comes, home is always around her. Home is where she is and for u noble woman it stretches far around lier, shedding its quiet light far for those who else were homeless.” Enjoyable songs were contributed by Mrs. McGill-Nutt and elocutionary items by Mrs. Wright. The choir gave two numbers.
Blue Kitchen Tea. A ’‘blue kitchen” leu was given recently by Mrs. A. Hendersoti at her home in Khamlalliib in honour of Miss Boyce Haynes, whose wedding is to take place shortly. Guests were entertained by Mr. A. Henderson, who led them in community singing. Competitions were won by Mrs. W. Haynes and Mr. K. Franklin. After supper, the bride-elect, assisted by her fiance, opened the gifts brought by friends. Those present were: Mesilames Kennedy, De Kouftiguac, Haynes, Houston, Sherbrooke, Tyrer, Misses Cameron, Haynes aud B. and X, Cameron,
