ANNUAL MEETING

Otaki-Te Horo Women's Division

The annual meeting of the O,takiTe Horo branch of the tVomon’s Division of tlie Farmers’ Union was held at Te Horo. There was a good attendance of members, and Mrs. Jenkins presided. The secretary’s report showed that the branch was flourishing, the number of members having increased and the financial position being very satisfactory. Contributions had been made to the community chest, to the provincial housekeeping fund, and to the rest home. The president’s review of the' year showed that the W.D.F.U. was a living force and that the members had given much to the branch and received much from it both socially and educationally.

Votes of thanks were passed to the auditor, the Masonic Lodge for the use of the hall, and to the Plunket Society for the use of their room. The president and the secretary were also thanked for five whole-hearted way in which they had worked for the division.

Mrs. ■ Jenkins was re-elected president and Miss Avery secretary. After the business a pleasant social time was spent. Songs by Mrs. Feilding and Miss Avery and a pianoforte solo by Miss Lawrie were enjoyed. A bring-and-buy stall did good business.
