Heavy Yarding Forward At ’ Dannevirke Sale Dominion Special Service. DANNEVIRKE, May 2. At the Dannevirke stock sale today heavy yardings of both sheep and cattle came forward to a good attendance of local and West Coast buyers. Sheep prices again showed a rise on the previous sale, and cattle sold at above late rates. A very satisfactory clearance was effected. Prices are:— Sheep: Good ewe lambs 17/7 to 21/-, smaller sorts 10/- to 14/-; wether lambs 14/9 to Vi/-, smaller sorts 7/8 to 12/4; wethers 20/- to 21/1; five-year ewes, r.w. s.d.r, 18/8; store ewes 8/1; fat lambs 20/to 22/3; fat two-tooths, 20/- to 24/9: twotooth ewes, 21/4; fat ewes, 20/6 to 21/-. Cattle: Fat Jersey cows. £4 to £5/6/-; fat P.A. cows, £4/5/- to £7/6/-; fat bullocks, £B/13/-; 2J-year P.A. steers, £6/o/to £6/15/-; IS-month's P.A. steers, £3/7/-; 18-months P.A. heifers, £3/7/-; P.A. bullocks, £4/12/6 to £7/6/-; weaner Jersey heifers, £2/13/- to £3/16/-; store cows, £2/5/- to £3/7/-; potter bulls, £5 to £B. Pigs and Poultry. Good entries of pigs and poultry were forward at It. Roake and Son’s yards today. the prices for the pigs and for the poultry showing an increase on late rates. Pigs: Backward slips. 8/6 to 9/6; small weaners, 5/6 to 6/6, good 10/- to 13/-; good slips to 19/6. ■Poultry: W.L. hens, 2/3 to 3/7; 8.0 hens 2/6 to 3/-: roosters, 2/3 to 3/-; cockerels, 1/9 to 3/-; W.L. pullets, 7/3; 8.0. pullets, late, 5/3; geese. 3/-; ducks and drakes, 2/9 to 3/3.

MARTON, May 2. Though no high figures ruled for individual sheep at the unreserved dispersal sale of the Matapuna Romney stud, on account of R. J. Moore, Marton, the competition. throughout was even.
