British Action In Matson Vessel
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received May 1, 7.5 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, April 39. According to the local charterers of tlie vessel, the British authorities removed some 20 American members of the crew from tlie Matson steamer Ewa at. Port Said. The ship, which is on her way to .tlie United States, is in charge of a Brilish native crew.
Tiie Matson Line understands that Hi.: intervention was due to a wages dispute and also that the American Consulate is sending the crew home.
