FALSE CHARGES
Further Replies To Nazis ■ LONDON, April 29. From ‘'somewhere in Norway” the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Professor Koht, described as false Herr von Ribbentrop’s allegation that Norway knew Britain intended to mine Norwegian waters and even approved the plan, ‘‘which justified the German invasion.” German naval units, he. said, must have been dispatched long before the British mine-laying. Nobody could prove that Norway bad not adhered to her neutrality pledge. A message from New York says that Captain William McHale, of the American freighter Mormacsea, disputes Herr von Ribbentrop’s assertion that the German troops were not given sailing orders for the invasion of Norway till April S. ‘‘l photographed the German auxiliary steamer Seattle in Trondheim Fiord at 2 p.m. on April 7,” he said. “She headed for Bergen, and was high out of the water- She would not be returnbig to Germany empty, and undoubtedly she carried troops. She was idling along, apparently awaiting orders.”
