AMERICAN REPORT DENIED
(British Official wireless. > RUGBY, April 29. The War Office announces that an American statement that the British Commander at Namsos has been supeiseded by a Frenchman is untrue. Statements that our men were untrained and without reserves are described as nonsense. As in previous exaggerated statement*. these reports have been based on a conversation with a soldier influenced by his personal experience during the beat of battle, and without knowledge of the situation as a whole.
