Wesley Wins Championship In the deciding match of the season between.the two leading teams in the Upper Hutt Cricket Association, Wesley beat Upper Hutt, winning the championship and the Upper Hutt Challenge Shield for the 1938-39 season. Wesley, batting first, scored 256 for seven wickets, declared (McKay 114, Goodwin 57, Fras-er 44; Rendle three for 8. Francis two for 55). Upper Hutt scored 88 (Wellington 42; N. McCarthty five for 16, Harrington four for 35). Final points are: Wesley 72, Upper Hutt 67. Trentham 54, Army 311 Representative Team. The selectors have announced the following teams to meet the Hutt Valley Cricket Association colts on Bell Park on Saturday: A. McKay, captain (Wesley), M. Wellington, vice-captain (Upper Hutt). S. Allen (Upper Hutt), C. Eves (Wesley), T. Falloon (Trentham). T. Fraser (Wesley), N. McCarthy (Wesley), C. Newport. (Trentham). C.' Murray (Upper Hutt), J. Purvis (Trentham), R. Wilkinson (Trentham).
