GOLF COMPETITIONS
Boulcott Glut The opening day of the Boulcott Golf Club will be held next Sunday, and an invitation is extended by the club to all members and prospective members to attend. In all probability, tiie new lay-out of the course will be ready for play, and it is hoped that members will receive greater benefit from the improved course. It has been arranged that, in the morning, a long driving competition for tlje men, and a competition yet to be arranged for the women, will be held. The proceeds from these competitions will be donated by the club to one of the queens in the queen carnival. The official opening will take place at 1.30 p.m. After, a mixed Canadian foursome will be played. Partners for this competition will be drawn in the clubhouse at 1.15 p.m. Titahi Club The Titahi Golf Club’s summer cup competition was won by J. Tunnington with a score of 292, the final round being a very fine 73. N. Parker was second and 0. Swinburne third. The club will open the winter season next Sunday. The competition will be a mixed fourball for the Harold Williams Cup. An invitation is extended to all golfers to attend the opening.
