Members of the Christchurch Aegean Society representing the Main Body units of the Canterbury- Infantry Battalion will participate in the Anzac Day dawn parade to be introduced for the first time this year by the Christchurch and Australian returned soldiers. The Aegean Society, at a meeting of the committee, decided to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the assembly of the regiment for active service with a dinner to be followed by a church parade at the Cathedral. The celebrations will be held on August 12. It was reported that 45 members had so far offered their services for home defence purposes.
