CASING WORKS SITE
Company To Test Council’s Decision In Court Oppenheimer and Company intended to have tested in court the legality of the council’s refusal to grant a permit to them to transfer their casing works from its present location near Gear Island to one on the Gear Aleat Company’s property, reported Cr. J. C. Burns to the Petone Borough Council last night. The council decided to refer the subject to its solicitors. PETONE HOCKEY CLUB The annual report of the Petone Hockey Club shows a balance of £3 in the general fund, representing a decrease of £l7 on the year's working, and 11 balance of £26 in the accident fund. A proposal will come before the annual meeting on April 3 to elect life members with full privileges without payment of fees and provided that there are no more than five holding office at one time.
