STUDIO DANCE
The new cream and green colour scheme in the studio, formed a charming .background to a gay scene on Saturday night, when Aliss Shirley Walsbe gave a studio dance. Colourful frocks were set off to advantage against the cream walls and cool green curtains. .Aliss Walshe received her guests wearing a floral chiffon frock with powder-iblue background, and mauve trimmings. She was assisted by Aliss .Myrtle Barr, who wore a white cobweb lace gown with a belt of dusty pink felt, and Aliss Lola Tingey, wearing an ol'L'-shoulder frock of cyclamen taffeta with quilted full skirt. An artistic note was struck in the floral decorations, which wore shaded from the palest pink gladioli, through the salmons and reds of roses and carnations. to the glow of salvia bonfire. Intriguing new dances and excellent music kept tlie dance floor crowded throughout the evening, and several novelty competitions provided amusing interludes. Prizewinners were Aliss Alary Albertson and Air. Harold Richardson, and Miss Betty Bailey and Air. C. Archer. Y.W.C.A.
