Banks —Swede A model coat frock in powder blue worn with a matching bat was chosen bv Miss Rita Mabel Swede, only daughter of Mr. and Mas. J. Swede, Wood- 1 ville, for her wedding recently to Mr. George Vivian Baaiks, elder son of Mr. G. Banks, Mangarawa. Mrs. G. A. Davidson was nuKfron of honour, and the groom was attended by Mr. G. A. Davidson. The biride was given away by her father. The ceremony in Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, was performed by the Rev. B. P. Williams and Miss D. Barkwith was at the organ. Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Banks's future home will be in Te Uku, Raglan. Bennetrt —Forsyth Celebrated in 'St.. Mary’s Church, Levin, the marriage'took place recently of Phyllis Maky. younger daughter of Mrs. Forsyth, ..Stockey Street. Levin, and the late Mr. IL E. Forsyth, to Alfred Herrick, elider son of .Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Bennett, Norsewood. The Rev. J. C. Davies performed the ceremony. Mr. J. W. 1 Hayfield played the organ. The bride, given away by her brother, Mr. A. E. Forsyth, wore a graceful frock of ivory embroidered swiss organza. The tulle veil was finished with, a halo of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of pale pink gladioli. The only bridesmaid, was Miss Jean Forsyth, sister of the bride, wearing an attractive frock of soft blue embroidered swiss organza. Her bouquet was of crimson gladlioli, and on her hair she wore a shojulder-length veil of matching tulle. The best man was Mr. A. D. Bennett, and Messrs. 11. Dunford and V. Pederson were the ushers. Pink and blue hydrangeas and pink gladioli decorated the church and St. Mary’s Hall, where the reception was held. The bride’s mother wore a navy and white ensemble with hat to tone, her bouquet being in shades of apricot and blue. Mrs. Bennett, mother of the bridegroom, chose a black suit and her posy was in tones of red.

The bride travelled in. a blue tailored suit wjth navy accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett will make their future home in Levin. Guests at the -wedding were present from the South Island, Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Wanganui, Taranaki, and Waikato.
