(By Overcheck.) The annual meeting of the Cheviot Trotting Club will be held today. Useful fields are engaged and should provide an interesting day’s sport. The win and place system of betting will be in operation. The following horses may be well supported :— Trial Handicap: Clive Brook, Hydraulic and Prince Travis. Spotswood Handicap: Lady Carol, Chieftainess and Shadow King. Bollard Memorial Handicap: Plymouth, Edgar Wallace and Hydraulic. Parnasus Handicap: Moerangi, Alf Parrish and Judgment. f Mackenzie Handicap: Thornworthy, I Chieftainess and Shadow Boy.
