KNOX GUILD GARDEN PARTY

Tiie Knox Women’s Guild held a successful garden party in the picturesque grounds of Mrs. A. Barry, Pretoria Street, Lower Hutt, yesterday afternoon. The Rev. J. Thompson-Macky thanked Mrs, Barry for lending her grounds and members of the guild whose efforts had made the party possible. Afternoon tea was served on small tables on the veranda. The stallholders were Mesdames J. Marwick, 11. Webley, C. Edmeades, B. Whitcher, L. J. Evans. H. G. Haise, A. G. Johnson and R. Orr. Mrs. Macasktll, Mrs. A. Batchelor and Mr. J. Shaw were in charge of the competitions. The “lady-of-tlie-liundred-pockets” was Mrs. J. Blair.
